Our Story

Splityard Social is a labour of love created by fourth-generation Somerset region farmers Tricia and Duncan Brown, alongside foodies Nathan and Katie Dux. The venue draws inspiration from iconic ironbark structures that once formed the backbone of local cattle yards and gathering spaces. It’s a modern nod to the region’s past, with every detail honouring the character and resilience of the local community. At its core, Splityard Social is more than just a café—it’s a community hub. Through initiatives like The Cup that Counts and partnerships with local organisations such as NBHD and the Seedbeds program, we support both local and global impact. From helping youth break the cycle of detention to empowering overlooked community change makers, Splityard Social is a place where heritage, hospitality, and hope intersect.
